EVS - European Voluntary Service

EVS 2011/2012 starts with 2 EVS projects


This project brings three volunteers from Austria, Germany and Ukraine together. Through many activities, workshops, events they will emphasize the role of volunteering for youngsters nowadays and underline the benefits to the local community, supporting with their action the European Year of Volunteering 2011. Aim of the project is to promote voluntary work, enhance motivation to start voluntary activities or motivate to endure within one’s voluntary work, to motivate people to share experience with other youngsters and encourage to tell others about the positive outcome of social engagement.

Face with Solidarity

With his project, Gevorg from Armenia aims to foster the discussion in society about solidarity and what it means to people. He wants to encourage people to reflection about individual and collective dimension of solidarity and its role for eg. in conflicts. In the project we are going to demonstrate an attitude of tolerance in the polish community and to facilitate people's understanding of the relevance of values such as peace attitude, solidarity, mutual understanding, tolerance etc. In showing what happened in history in our both countries, Armenia and Poland, and where violence, discrimination and intolerance lead to, we want to raise awareness for these topics, empowering youth and local NGO’s to take action and stand against terror at all times.

EVS 2010/2011 Learning from the past - acting for future

At 7th of September we have started our long term volunteer program EVS 2010/2011: Learning from the past –acting for future. This EVS project brings three EVS volunteers from Germany to Warsaw. Together with one ASF volunteer thez will work in a team, assisting in their major time Nazi victims in their daily lives. Apart from that, they will conduct their individual projects, which include creating a photo exhibition, renewing a website and conducting a study visit with historical focus for youngsters here in Warsaw.

EVS 2009/2010 started in our foundation

At 14th of September we have started our long term volunteer program EVS 2009/2010: Joining the Foundation Polish-German Reconciliation" here at the Foundation Polish German Reconciliation.
